How an e-cig works?

Electronic cigarette or an e-cig, as it is commonly known, is a device that provides inhaled doses of nicotine and non-nicotine vapors.

Invented in 2003, by a Chinese pharmacist, this product has become a new rage among people struggling to give up smoking. This device comes in two styles, one resembling a ball pen and the other, resembling its namesake, a cigarette.

It is very easy to use.The Manual e-cigarette comes with a button which when depressed activated a heating element present in the cigarette that heats and vaporizes the nicotine solution that is situated at the mouthpiece. When using the fully automated e-cig all you have to do is inhale and the sensor that is situated at the tip of the cigarette gets activated.

The sensor in turn activates the heating device which vaporizes the liquid nicotine.

In several models there is a LED that is present at the opposite end which also gets activated when you inhale. This LED works as a sensor and serves as the indicator of the use of this devise. These LEDs come in a variety of colors some even mimic the glow of a cigarettes tip.

Most e-cigs employ a timed cutoff switch to ensure that overheating does not occur. Some LEDs usually signal overuse. The heating element that is present is known as the atomizer. It lasts for 3-6 months and has to be replaced. The heating element is powered by lithium batteries. Some use batteries that can be charged using an USB cord while others that are larger and can house a battery employ user-replaceable standard-size battery cell. All the pieces of an e-cig can be refilled or replaced. The container that holds the nicotine or e-juice can be refilled too. They e-juice comes in a variety of concentrations and flavors.
